Stewards of Parishwide Involvement
Facilitators:
Stewardship is what we do with what we’ve been given. It is our response to God’s gifts of time, talent, and treasure.
Mission and Purpose
The Stewards of Parishwide Involvement facilitate through education and advocacy the development in St. Gregory the Great parishioners of a comprehensive view of stewardship. Christian Discipleship promotes stewardship as a praying, caring, serving, sharing accountable lifestyle imitating Jesus and His way of life through the presence of the Holy Spirit.
This ministry supports all parish ministries with communications, education, and promotes a welcoming atmosphere through Ministry Fairs, Parishioner Orientations, Parish Tours, Hospitality/Recognition programs and other parishwide events. Our goal is “Growing Ministries, Our Mission of Caring” by using the gifts (time, talent and treasure) God gave each of us by serving the needs of others.
Current Needs and New Ministry Formation
Parishioners with various communications skills (written and graphic) including internet communications are needed. Any NEW MINISTRY ideas or suggestions should contact any steward in this ministry for direction and guidance.
Time Required
Minimum of 2-3 hours a month for one meeting and a Parishioner Orientation Workshop. A steward engaged in this ministry can really make a contribution toward making St. Gregory the Great a Thriving Stewardship Parish.
Meetings
Skills Needed
Members should be willing to assist in planning and implementing stewardship activities as well as follow-up with other stewards willing to donate their time and talent. Good planning, organizational and effective communications skills are helpful.
