Adoration
Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is a monthly event that begins after the 8:00 am Mass on the second Thursday of each month and continue through the night until the 8:00 am mass on Friday. Sign ups are held after the masses the weekend before the devotion.
Adoration is exactly what it sounds like - the Adoration of Jesus Christ. It is one of the most refreshing times a Catholic can experience within the church. The simple act of going to the church and spending some time with Jesus is a humbling one, and depending on the degree of open-hearted acceptance you possess, there are many graces that can be obtained by simply sitting with Jesus for a while. There is total silence during this time. Some people pray, some read the Bible or other spiritual publication, some just meditate, some pray the rosary, and others just sit in silence. Some people just listen.
