Marriage Preparation

/files/images/Banner Images/matrimony.pngMarriage preparation is required for the engaged as well as couples who are civilly married and would like their marriage convalidated in the church.

  • The first step in preparation for the Sacrament of Matrimony, if you are a registered parishioner, is to contact a priest or deacon from the parish. If you are not registered in the parish or are registered in another parish, contact a priest or deacon from the parish you belong to. The priest or deacon will assist you with information about the diocesan preparation programs, paperwork, and liturgy planning.
  • Once you have obtained a commitment from a priest or deacon to preside at your rehearsal and wedding ceremony, contact the Wedding Coordinator for Saint Gregory the Great Parish. The Wedding Coordinator will check the availability of date and time and answer any general questions you may have. The actual booking, fee contract, and deposit will be done with our parish Wedding Coordinator. Wedding guidelines will be given to you at this time.
  • The administrative and ministerial staff at Saint Gregory the Great Parish is here to serve and assist you at this very special time in your life.
