RCIA 2012 - 2013

/files/images/Banner Images/san-damiano-cross.gifThe Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults and Children (RCIA) begins in August, 2012.

Exploring the Catholic faith for non-Catholics is too often left to asking other non-Catholics or Catholics with less understanding about their own faith. The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process that the Church provides to help explore the teachings, traditions and rituals of the Catholic faith for those who are seeking a true and deeper understanding.

RCIA is primarily for the non-baptized and baptized adults without formal instructions in the Catholic faith. This covers a wide range of people from the nonbeliever to persons baptized in other Christian denominations. RCIA is a faith journey that helps to meet the needs of a wide range of seekers.

There is no commitment unless you are ready to make a commitment, and there is no fee.

All are welcome! Fully initiated Catholics are welcome too. Many have found attending the RCIA sessions to be a good way to enhance their faith journey and deepen their understanding and relationship with God and the Church.

RCIA for Children and Teens

RCIA for Children and Teens is for children over the age of seven and teens under the age of eighteen who have not been baptized. These sessions will start in October, 2012.

If you are interested in RCIA for adults, or children, or teens, contact Deacon Ron at the parish office: 858-653-3582 or deaconron@stgg.org.

Bibles and Catechisms for RCIA

Anyone interested in making a donation toward a Catholic Study Bible ($25) and/or a Catholic Catechism for Adults ($25) for those who are attending the RCIA, please contact Deacon Ron for information. We want to continue to welcome men and woman into the Church without cost. Your donation will help provide the tools to evangelize the word of God to those who seek him and welcome them into the faith community.
