Paulist Fathers Announce New Assignments!

We have just heard from the Paulist Fathers the names of our new pastor and associate pastor. We are delighted to share that Paulist Fr. Bart Landry will become pastor of St. Gregory the Great. He currently serves as coordinator of Black Catholic Ministry in the Diocese of Sacramento. Paulist Fr. Gerard Tully will become associate pastor of St. Gregory the Great. He currently serves as associate pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Community in Los Angeles. We will welcome them on July 1st.
 
 
Below you will find some more information about Fr. Bart and Fr. Jerry. Over the next few months, there will be many opportunities for you to get to know the Paulist Fathers as they assume responsibility for the parish.
 
While we are excited to welcome Fr. Bart and Fr. Jerry, it is bittersweet as we say our final goodbyes to our beloved Fr. Nick who has served our community so faithfully for the past 18 years. During this time of transition, please remember Fr. Nick in your prayers for a joy-filled retirement.

Father Bartholomew Landry, C.S.P.

Paulist Fr. Bartholomew Landry is coordinator of Black Catholic Ministry in the Diocese of Sacramento. He grew up in Church Point, LA. He was ordained a priest on May 29, 2007. Fr. Bart previously served as pastor of Old St. Mary’s Cathedral in San Francisco. He also leads parish missions, revivals and days of recollection.

Father Gerard Tully, C.S.P.

Paulist Fr. Gerard Tully is associate pastor of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Community in Los Angeles. Fr. Jerry previously served as associate pastor of Immaculate Conception Church in Knoxville, TN. While he was in Knoxville, he was a chaplain to the Knoxville Police Department. A Bronx native, he made his first promises to the Paulist community on August 5, 1989. He was ordained a priest on May 14, 1994.
