Youth Mass

O God, we ask your blessing upon our young people. You have gifted each one of them in a special and unique way. May they come to know and share the wonder and awe that lives within them as they grow in wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of you.

Sundays 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Join us every Sunday at 5:00 pm for the youth-led Mass. The Mass is “youth-led” because candidates are involved as Ushers, Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist, Lectors, Altar Servers, and Choir Members.

The Youth-led Mass is the central focus of the Youth Ministry because it integrates the youth community with the rest of the parish community.

Motivation to Go to Catholic Mass

Greeters & Ushers

Greeters and Ushers are an important part of the hospitality ministry of Saint Gregory the Great. Warmth, friendliness and a willingness to serve are essential to this ministry.

Extraordinary Ministers

The Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist at Mass by distributing Holy Communion along with the presiding clergy. This ministry is reserved for those already Confirmed.

Lectors

As ministers of the Word, lectors proclaim the Word of God during Mass. Lectors should have a good public speaking voice and good reading skills.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers assist the priest during Mass. Participation in this ministry is a special privilege that requires reverence, teamwork, prayer, commitment, responsibility and a willingness to serve.

Music Ministry

The Youth Choir sings contemporary worship music. This choir is comprised of candidates from eighth grade to high school.

Environment

The Liturgical Environment Ministry helps create a prayerful environment through the decoration of the church during the different liturgical seasons.
