“Blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.”
The Audio-Visual Ministry is responsible for the coordination and use of the church’s audio-visual technology used during Mass and other special liturgical celebrations. The ministry’s mission is to glorify God by leading the congregation in a “fully conscious and active participation in liturgical celebrations”(Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, n. 14), and to ensure that our Mass can be viewed by those parishioners who are sick or homebound. The Audio-Visual Ministry works closely with the clergy, the Liturgy Ministry, and the Music Ministry to create a powerful, dynamic, and respectful worship experience for our congregation.
The Audio Visual Ministry is still looking for volunteers!
St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church is seeking interested volunteers to join the Audio-Visual Ministry. This ministry operates the Church’s audio and visual equipment during Sunday Liturgies, special Liturgy celebrations, and Parish events. We are looking for individuals with some level of technological savvy who are knowledgeable about the Order of Mass. All training shall be provided on the proper use and care of equipment in a short, one-on-one, training course. Volunteers are needed for all Mass times.
If interested, please contact John Chicca at email@example.com
Our stewards need to have a comprehensive knowledge of the Order of the Mass as well as a general comfort level with computers, cameras, the internet, and PowerPoint software. Volunteers will be trained for any specific technical skill required, for the ministry responsibilities, and with our scheduling system.
1) Operate the projector system and camera system during Sunday Masses and special liturgies.
