Prayers & Squares is an outreach ministry that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. Many hands come together to create these lovingly made quilts, including members of the parish whom are periodically invited to bind a tie and say a prayer for the person it will ultimately comfort.
These prayers are an affirmation of our faith in God and our belief in His power to comfort, strengthen and heal. Anyone in special need of prayer is an appropriate recipient of a prayer quilt.
The Prayers and Squares Ministry of St. Gregory the Great is pleased to announce that we are once again accepting quilt requests from parishioners who would like to request a quilt for a family member or friend who is sick and in need of prayers.
Due to COVID-19 some changes have been made. Quilts will not be out for quilt tying during weekend masses. Instead, the quilts will be blessed and then distributed to the requestor. There will be threads sewn into the quilts so the requestor and/or recipient can invite family and friends to tie a knot and say a prayer.
For questions, please contact Pat Kikendall (see above).

PRAYER QUILT FOR THE CHABAD OF POWAY
Recently members of the Prayers & Squares Ministry presented the prayer quilt designed specifically for the Chabad of Poway. It was graciously received by the wife of Rabbi Mendel who said they have had an outpouring of love for their community. Her comments were all focused on the positive effects that this tragedy has engendered. She was very appreciative of all of the parishioners who tied knots and offered prayers for them. Thank you all for being a part of this important and touching gift.
