Stewardship A Disciple’s Response
The mission of the Development Steering Council (DSC) is to support the Pastor and Facilities Maintenance Manager in discerning and accomplishing improvements and maintenance (both preventive and corrective) of the Parish facilities, including the school and preschool. In doing so, the DSC considers the needs of the Parish and the available resources to ensure the facilities continue to support the spirituality, growth, and vitality of the entire St Gregory the Great Catholic Community.

Construction Interruptions
Things are going to be VERY busy from a facilities standpoint over the next several weeks. These projects will be disruptive, so I wanted to give everyone as much advance notice as possible.
Completed:
- Arch Removal above the blesses Sacrament– Completed last week: The arch over the Blessed Sacrament was removed making way for roofing and HVAC work. For safety reasons, I am also having the arches outside the Cry Room and Holy Family dismantled. This work will begin Tuesday, September 8 and is expected to take approximately three days. They will definitely be working all day Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Blessed Sacrament Roof – 95% Completed today: The roof over the Blessed Sacrament has been replaced. I looks great and we did some extra sealing to prevent leaks.
Up Coming:
- Week of September 21: HVAC Replacement – The HVAC replacement will take place this week.
- Week of September 28: Parking Lot – Church activities can continue, but parking on the street or at the park will be necessary while the work is underway. This will be completed in a week.
- Week of September 28: Arch Replacement– They will be putting the arch back together this week also and will be doing all the prep work in the area near the fire pit.
- Week of September 28: Partial Arch Removal outside cry room and holy family: While the contractor is here we will be having him remove the sections above where people walk.
- Week of Oct 5th: Additional Roof Work – We will also be redoing the roof where the new HVAC equipment is going.
