“Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been purchased at a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body.”
1 Corinthians 6:19-20

The purpose of the Safety & Security Team is to assist any parishioner or guest who suffers a health emergency while on our Church and School campuses. Safety and security features such as community awareness, prevention programs, emergency situations, location of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), signage, location of fire extinguishers, etc., all fall under the scope of involvement.
This council is comprised of service-oriented parishioners geared toward the health and safety of others. Members include, but are not limited to, medical doctors, nurses, medical providers, emergency responders, firemen, and law enforcement officers.
If you have a sense of service to others and wish to be a member of the Health and Safety Council, please contact our facilitator.
.
We are looking for men and women who are interested in joining our safety and security team.
This is intended as a non-confrontational position. We are in need of having more ears and eyes on the church campus during our Mass times. You will be asked to walk the grounds before Mass starts and again as Mass is ending. You would need to be comfortable calling 911 in case of an emergency. There will be some training involved to make sure you are totally prepared and comfortable in your role.
If you have any interest in learning more about this role, please contact Linda Mullvain at 858-248-0040 or lindacmullvain@gmail.com

We are entering cold, COVID, and flu season, so here are some general health reminders. Please stay home if you are sick. It is not a sin to miss mass if you are ill. The Sunday 9:00 am and 11:00 am Masses are live-streamed, and we encourage you to join us that way if you are ill. If you have a fever, cough, or flu-like symptoms, please stay home to recover fully and prevent the spread of illness to others, especially our elderly and immunocompromised. We encourage you to wash your hands frequently and thoroughly with soap and water. An alcohol based hand sanitizer is also a good option.

Hand sanitizer is available in the church for your convenience. Please remember to cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or the crook of your elbow when you cough or sneeze.
To ensure the well-being of all congregants, we ask that you consider an alternative to handshaking during the sign of peace. A wave, a smile, a nod of the head, or a verbal greeting are all appropriate and considerate ways to share God’s peace. Please use hand sanitizer before receiving communion. Working together, we can help keep each other healthy. We pray for the health and recovery of all who are ill.
