“For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.”
Matthew 25: 35-36

This Ministry is made up of caring stewards who provide spiritual support to the sick and homebound members of Saint Gregory the Great. In addition to weekly communion and prayers, the visits allow our parish community to reach out in the name of Christ and bring His healing and merciful love to those unable to participate fully in parish life.

Please contact us to arrange a home visit.

“Jesus has made Himself the Bread of Life. If you want to grow in  love, come back to the Eucharist.”
Saint Teresa of Calcutta

You are cordially invited to join… Ministry to the Homebound!

One of the most important aspects of our faith community is gathering together. Like any family, there are times when loved ones cannot be a part of a family get-together. At these times we need to reach out in prayer and love to the missing member. Ministry to the Homebound provides weekly Communion and prayers to those who are unable to join us at Mass Celebrations. Maintaining this link with the ill, elderly, and homebound makes us a stronger, more vibrant community. In this year of Hope would you consider joining us in this endeavor? We will provide training, manuals, and support… you provide an hour or two once or twice a month to take Communion and visit with fellow parishioners. It is a rewarding ministry, you will receive more than you give!

Please consider this opportunity and contact Paulette Deniston at paulettedeniston@gmail.com or 619-857-5443.
