We invite you to partner with us in God’s mission through your generous support of the Annual Paulist Appeal. No gift is too small or too large. I ask you to invite God into your discernment of how much to give this year. It is only through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the support of you, our partners in mission, that we can continue to share the gift of our Catholic faith.

May Saint Paul intercede for you, your family, and our Church. God bless you and your generous gift.

Seminarian Spotlight

Andrew Ouma, C.S.P.

Your contributions to the Annual Paulist Appeal fund graduate school tuition, housing, and more for our Paulist seminarians, such as Andrew Ouma.

Andrew entered the Paulist novitiate in 2023 and made his First Promises in 2024. A native of Kenya, Andrew earned an undergraduate degree in Philosophy with a minor in Religious Studies from The Catholic University of Eastern Africa in Nairobi.

Prior to entering the Paulist novitiate, he spent several
years living in Brazil, where he taught English to middle school students. “I like seminary because it gives me the opportunity to sit down with the very fundamental questions of life, to be able to know and decide what God wants me to do in life, especially in terms of being a servant of the Church,” said Andrew.

Focus on a Senior Father

Fr. Joachim Lally, C.S.P.

Your contributions to the Annual Paulist Appeal fund housing, healthcare, and more services for senior Paulist Fathers such as Paulist Fr. Joachim Lally, 86.

Since 2008, Fr. Joachim has lived in Grand Rapids, MI, where he assists at the Cathedral of Saint Andrew and the Catholic Information Center.

Born in Memphis, TN, he moved with his family to southeast Arkansas when he was in the second grade. He began his religious life as a Benedictine monk and was ordained a priest in 1965.

In 1972, Fr. Joachim joined the Paulist Fathers, making his Final Promises in 1975.

In addition to Grand Rapids, he has served in Boston, Lawrence, MA, and New York City, with Hispanic ministry being a major part of his priesthood.

Fr. Joachim’s other passions include prison ministry, contemplation, centering prayer, painting, and organizing mission trips to the Dominican Republic. During his many mission trips, he has helped to build homes and assisted with medical clinics.

“One of the great things I appreciate about being a Paulist is their great respect for one’s own charisms and gifts,” he said. “They don’t try to put a round peg in a square hole. They try to respect you and your talents. It’s very like artistic development. They try to find where you are best suited, where you can best be creative, and do ministry in a way that is in tune with who you are.”

The Paulist Fathers President

Dear Partners in Mission,

I pray the New Year is enriched with hope for you and your family. We pray your support of our mission through the Annual Paulist Appeal sustains our Paulist community and our various ministries.

I ask you to consider making a gift to the 2026 Annual Paulist Appeal, Building Bridges Through Charity. Your contribution directly sustains the ministries that touch the lives of people from all walks of life – Catholic and non-Catholic – across the United States and abroad. Your vital support enables us to further our charism to spread the word of God, to care for our elderly priests, nurture vocations, support women in Church leadership and ministry positions, address toxic polarization in our nation, and minister to young adults, people of color, and those who identify as LGBTQ+. Your support also provides resources to our Paulist parishes and campus ministry communities through impactful initiatives such as our Mission Impact grants, which support local initiatives that align with the mission priorities of the Paulist Fathers.

To support our mission, I prayerfully invite you to consider donating the median gift of last year’s Paulist Appeal of $100.00.

As you discern your gift, remember that every commitment to the Annual Paulist Appeal makes a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve and is a wonderful way to share our blessings with others and demonstrate our gratitude to God for all He has given us. In a world in need of hope, your generosity serves as a light, illuminating paths for so many to encounter God’s boundless love.

Thank you for considering this invitation to partner with us this year. With prayerful best wishes for you and your loved ones, I remain,

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Very Rev. René Constanza, C.S.P.
President, The Paulist Fathers

St. Gregory the Great Pastoral Team

Thank You!

“Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8

Dear sisters and brothers,

Since July 1, 2023, the Paulist Fathers have united in mission with the Catholic community of St. Gregory the Great to give the Gospel a voice today. Since then, we have built many bridges of hope through our charitable work. As we continue building bridges through charity, it is time for our Annual Paulist Appeal. All that we have accomplished together has been made possible by your generosity to the Appeal.

Last year, the St. Gregory the Great community contributed $ 38,244.31 to the Annual Paulist Appeal. Building on this momentum, I ask that you prayerfully consider increasing your donations so that we can increase our collaboration and outreach. Paul urges Christians to work hard, not for greed but to have resources to share with those in need, thereby transforming money into a tool for divine glory. As a family, working together, we can and will continue to build bridges through charity.

Your Impact

• Transforming Lives: Your donations directly support initiatives that uplift the most vulnerable among us.
• Building Community: Together, we strengthen bonds within our community, fostering a spirit of unity and collaboration.
• Expanding Outreach: With increased support, we can extend our reach and impact, touching even more lives with God’s grace and love.

“And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection. And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful.”Colossians 3:14-15

You and your loved ones are in our constant prayers.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Fr. Bart Landry, C.S.P. Fr. Jerry Tully, C.S.P. Fr. Chuck Kullmann, C.S.P.

“There is no other way for perfection for the great mass of Christians than in the performance of the common duties of life with an eye to God. The highest noblest and most perfect life is in the fulfillment of those daily duties imposed upon us by Almighty God. This is devotion.” Isaac T. Hecker
